solidwork : Draft Overview

The draft features a 3d application to make the slope of the surface using a certain angle to a selected surface in 3D modeling.
We can enter the draft in part that we want.

we can apply the concept of the draft to a solid or surface model.

We can determine the type of drafting with the following methods:

-Neutral plane

Parting line-


Neutral Plane Draft

We can make a feature taper model chosen by using Plane neutral and face a certain angle,

to determine the direction of making the mold.

We also can apply the concept of angle as part of the base extrusion, boss, or cut.

Neutral Plane To make draft

Click the Draft button in the toolbar features, or Insert, Features, Draft.

In Property Manager:

Select Neutral Plane in the draft.

In the Draft Angle, set the value to degrees. Draft angle measured perpendicular to the plane of neutral.

Select a face or plane to plane Neutral. If necessary, select Reverse obliquity draft in the opposite direction.

Select the faces to the draft in the area of graphics for the Faces, which will be made.

All Faces. The concept of all face is extruded from the neutral plane.

Inner Faces. The concept of all parts of a face is extruded from the neutral plane.

Outer Faces. The concept of all the outer face neutral plane.

Detailed click Preview to preview the draft.

Click OK to create the draft.

Using the Neutral Plane as a type of draft, we can design some outer face, all face the outside,

some face in all inner faces, faces a tangent, or a combination of both inner and outer faces faces.

In Property Manager, under a Face, select Face value propagation.

None. Only a selected face in the draft. Face above is used as a Neutral Plane in all instances.

Along Tangent. Extend the draft to all face that intersect with the selected face.

Face out, including one of the face that we choose the Extrude boss.

All face. Draft all face in addition to the neutral plane and extruded from the neutral plane.

inner faces include face on three Ekstrud boss.

Inner Faces. Draft all the inner faces are extruded from the neutral plane.

Outer Faces. Draft all the outer faces outwardly neutral plane.

solidwork ; Pattern

Make Pattern in solidwork program was very easy.
Many features - supporting features are already available in solidwork.
Pattern itself is made item by repeating the selected features in an array based on the features we want.
We can create linear patterns, circular patterns, curve pattern, fill pattern, or use a sketch or a table point coordinates to create a Pattern.
To reproduce the features in SolidWorks select the Properties option in the Visual PropertyManager.

With multibody, we can use the pattern to some body in the same document.
For the Circular Pattern, select the features and axis as the center of rotation, and define:
Number of items and the distance angle or angle total number of items and to create patterns.

To Curve Driven Pattern, select the features and the edge or sketch segment in which to pattern these features. Then we can determine the type of curve, curve method, and method of alignment.

For Pattern Sketch, choose where to fill a seed by a sketch feature points on the face model.

For the Table Pattern, add to or take the previous item with XY coordinates to fill the feature.

For Pattern Fill, fill the area defined by the pattern features.

We also can create patterns, and a mirror copy of the patterns and the control and modify patterns.

solidwork ; make a loft

We can create a guide curve loft by using two or more profiles
and one or more instructions for connecting the profile curve.

Profiles can be either planar or non-planar.
Guide to help us control the curve between the profile generated.
To create a loft using guide curves and non-planar profile,
Use the split line to make non-planar profile.
Sketch of one or more guide curves.
Add Pierce guide the relationship between the curves and edges on non-planar sketch plane.

Sketch the profile needed to make the loft.
Add the relationship between profiles and guide curves:

Select tool to select the profile plane in the sketch,
or use the Smart Selection to select the individual profile sketch.
Select option PropertyManager.
Click OK.

SolidWORK: Making Planes

 Here we will discuss about what the plane, should the initial design, we must first understand what the plane,

because the plane was very helpful and easier for us in 3D design.

We can create designs Planes in part / parts or assembly / assembly.

We can use the Planes to sketch, to create the appearance of the model, for Planes neutral in draft features, and so forth.

We can preselect an item before we click on Plane.

If we preselect items, SolidWorks Planes trying to select the appropriate type. We can always choose different types of Planes.

We can right-click the chart area and select the type of Planes from the shortcut menu. If we choose the entity that is enough to make Planes, OK pointer appears. Right click to create Planes.

To make construction Planes:

Click Plane on the Reference Geometry toolbar,

or click Insert, Reference Geometry, Plane.

PropertyManager Plane appears.

In the selection, select the type of Planes that we want to create and the items to make the Planes:

Through Lines / Points.

Make Planes through the edge, axis, or sketch lines, and point, or through the three points.

To create a plane with three points.

Parallel Plane at Point. Make Planes through parallel points to a Planes.

To create a plane with a planar face or faces.

Choose a center point.

New planes parallel to the selected face through the midpoint of the chosen.

To create a plane with the angle.

Make Planes through the edge, axis, or sketch a line in the corner with face or Planes.

Select Planes or planar face, and then select the edge, axis, or line sketches.

Enter the angle between the Planes in the Angle box.

Select Reverse direction checkbox, if necessary.

To create a plane with the Offset Distance.

Planes parallel to Make Planes or face, offset by a certain distance. This is the default Planes made.

Choose Planes or planar face.

Enter the offset distance in the Distance box.

Select Reverse direction checkbox, if necessary.

To make some Planes offset the same distance from a chosen field, enter the number in the dialog box Number of Planes Planes.

In a simple function of the Fillet / Round is to create a circular / internal or external radius on the contour of the product.

Solidwork : revolve

Make revolve with the help of the centerline.
we can make the revolved boss / bases, revolved cuts, or revolved surfaces.
Revolve feature can be a solid, thin features, or surface.
To create a feature revolved boss / bases, we can use the following guidelines:
Sketches for revolved solid feature can contain several profiles intersect.
By selecting the pointer Contour (available contour when we click the option in PropertyManager)
We can choose one or more sketches to create a revolve.
Sketches for features ranging from a thin or surface can contain several profiles intersect open or closed.
Profiles can not be cut off centerline, solid product will not be formed.
If the sketch contains more than one center, select the centerline that we want to use as the axis of revolution.
To revolved revolved surfaces and thin, the sketch can not be cut off at the centerline.
When we click a radius dimension to revolve, we can produce a radius dimension to revolve feature.
If we click the diameter dimension, we produce diameter dimensions to revolve feature.
We have to rebuild the model to display the symbol radius or diameter dimensions.

To create a revolve feature:
Create a sketch that contains one or more profiles and centerline, outline, or edge is used as a shaft in which the features of Revolve.
Click one of the following tools revolve:
Revolved Boss / Base on the Features toolbar, or Insert, Boss / Base, Revolve
Cut on the toolbar revolved feature, or Insert, Cut, Revolve
Surface Surface revolved on the toolbar, or Insert, Surface, Revolve
In PropertyManager, set the options (set the option).
Click OK.

Solidwork: Creating a boss feature sweeps

Sweep is used to create a base, boss, cut or surface by moving profiles.
Profiles must be closed to create a base or boss feature sweeps.
Profiles can be open or closed to surface features sweep feature.
Path is a set of sketch curves contained in one sketch.
The starting point must be the path in the field profile.
Both sections, paths, and solid can be generated from sketh intersect.

Sweeps can be made by:
-Guidelines for Use of the curve
-Made with multiple profiles
Created as a feature-thin

To create a sweeps:
1.Sketsa profile, closed non-intersecting in the plane or a face.
2.Buat lane / path to the profile. Use the sketches, model existing edge, or curve.
3.Klik one of the following:
-Swept Boss / Base on the Features toolbar or Insert, Boss / Base, Sweep
Cut-swept feature on the toolbar or Insert, Cut, Sweep
Surface-swept on the toolbar or the Insert Surface, Surface, Sweep
PropertyManager 4.Dalam this:
-Select the sketch in the graphics area to profile.
-Select the sketch in the graphics area to the road / path.

solidwork : Move

In the menu there solidwork move.
This menu serves to move the position to sketch the image that you created earlier,

Edit Sketch 1.In this mode:

- Click the move Entities (Sketch toolbar)

Solidwork: make Arcs

We can create an arc by specifying three points (start, end, and midpoint).

To make a 3 point arc:
1. Click the 3 Point Arc on the Sketch toolbar, or click Tools, Sketch Entity, 3 Point Arc.
Arc appears PropertyManager
PropertyManager control sketch Centerpoint Arc Arc, Tangent Arc, or 3 Point Arc.

Add Relations
We can add the selected entities relationships.

For construction. Change the entities for the construction geometry.

We can determine the appropriate combination of the following parameters to determine the arc / arcs.
If we change one or more parameters, other parameters are updated automatically.

Center X Coordinate: X Coordinate Center
Center Y Coordinate: Center Y Coordinate
Start X Coordinate: Start dr X Coordinates
Start Y Coordinate: Start mister Y Coordinates
End X Coordinate: End Coordinates X
End Y Coordinate: End Coordinates Y
Radius, Angle.

2. Click where you want the arc to start.
3. Drag to where you want to bow to end.
4. Remove the pointer.
5. Drag the arc to set the radius and to reverse the arc, if necessary.
6. Remove the pointer.
7. Make necessary changes in the PropertyManager
and click OK.
