callouts SOLIDWORKS

Callouts are text in the box that appears in the graphics area when we use certain tools.
Callouts it helps us in making 3d design, because it can easily distinguish between different entities.
When we make a sweep, here too there are callouts showing the profile sweep and sweep path.
We can draw these callouts for the position, but we can not use it to change the nature of the entity that
Some of them refer to callouts.

  1. I am using solid-works, and I am trying to cut a non-circular hole on the side of a cylinder (going entirely through it). Ive set my sketch plane perfectly tangential to my rounded surface. Ive drawn my shape on that plane, but SW wont let me extrude/cut my shape. I know I'm missing something small. any ideas?.
